Program Details

The program Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Hons) with Lincoln University College is evidence-based and research-led and a blend of academic and clinical studies that will support our graduates. The curriculum provides practical training in simulation laboratories, hospitals, and private facilities for radiology, so that our graduated become well trained to adapt your learning to the clinical workplace.

The curriculum takes pride in the excellent interactions it builds between the classroom and the clinical workplace. In a broad range of clinical facilities, the functional knowledge our students learn will be improved by placements. The program is student-centered and contextualized in terms of professional learning needs.

The program of Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Hons) program will produce Radiology Technicians who are:

  1. Knowledgeable to apply critical thinking in medical imaging technology.
  2. Competent to practice and possess interpersonal skill to communicate with other professionals in related field to medical imaging practices.
  3. Professional and capable to work ethically and protrude personal skills as well as digital skills in the medical imaging technology and its development.
  4. Show adequate leadership skill and responsibilities with the excellent numeracy skills in medical imaging technology.
  5. Able to demonstrate entrepreneurial skills.

In hospitals, clinics, and doctors’ offices, the need for trained and skilled radiology technologists is continually rising. In the future, the field of radiography will continue to see higher than average job growth. After the degree in this field is done, the graduates will become:

  • Radiology Technician.
    Radiology Assistant.
  • Radiologist.
  • Radiology Technologist/Radiographer.
  • Radiology Nurse.
  • Ultrasound Technician / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • MRI Technician.
  • CT Tech / CAT Scan Technologist / CT Scan Technologist.

Entry Requirements:

Obtained Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 3 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (5.5) / Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (550),

AND

a. Pass Matriculation / Pre-University/ Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) programme or equivalent qualification with minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:

  • Biology
  • Physics / Mathematics
  • Chemistry

OR

b. A-Level programme or equivalent qualification with minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects.

  • Biology
  • Physics / Mathematics
  • Chemistry

OR

c. Recognized Diploma with minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 in related field,

OR

d. Recognized Diploma with CGPA less than 2.75 in related field and a minimum of three years (36 months) working experience in the related field

English proficiency for foreign student
Candidate should obtain IELTS (5.5) / TOEFL (550) paper-based or equivalent.
