In the present scenario there is a shortage of qualified nurse educators. Hence, the demand for nursing teachers is quite high. The programme deals with the teaching method along with the the principles and methods that must be implemented by nursing teachers to achieve the desired learning goals. The programme is designed to guide nurses wishing for a career in teaching. This programme aims to equip individuals with the ability to apply and utilize a range of teaching approaches that will enhance teaching and learning.

This programme prepares registered nurses to educate and teach health professionals. After completing this the nurses can work in a wide variety of nursing roles and will be well equipped to pursue teaching and educational opportunities in a range of healthcare settings, such as:

  1. Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board;
    and
  2. Has the Annual Practicing Certificate (APC);
    and
  3. Have a Nursing Diploma or Nursing degree;

  4. Having a minimum of 3 years of experience working in clinical placements.
